Years back when Jonathan, my step-brother, and I were kids, we used to make home movies with our family every summer. In one fantastic home movie adventure, we played X-file inspired characters, Moldy and Scuzzy. To solve the mystery in a particular episode, Moldy and Scuzzy had to gather up “The Team” our interaction went something like this…

Moldy: I’ve got a pretty good idea who did it, let’s go get the Team.
Scuzzy: Yeah! The team will be good.

Such is our belief today, that for such a great Graphic Novel like Expiration Date to be successful, we have to go get “The Team”. So, let’s take a little time for you to get to know the wonderful talents that comprise Team Expiration Date.

Robert Zappia is the writer of Expiration Date. After earning his degree in Cinema-Televsion Production at the University of Southern California, Robert Zappia worked for a decade in television writing for such hit situation comedies such as Home Improvement. In addition, Robert was the writer and co-executive producer of the award winning Sci-Fi miniseries 5ive Days to Midnight.

Robert branched into feature films writing Halloween: H20 which marked the return of Jamie Lee Curtis and was one of the highest grossing film of the highly successful Halloween franchise. And most recently was a segment producer on Jackass 3D: The Movie which has grossed over $100 million dollars at the box office.

Lee Wiley, that’s me! All I’ve wanted to do as far back as I can remember is to draw and entertain people. I fell in love with comics when I was about 10 years old and knew then that drawing comics was what I wanted to do. I graduated with a BFA in illustration in 2009, and have continued to create comics through personal projects.

My projects have ranged from my Super-hero, Mayhem, to my tale of dystopian Steampunk future, EXODUS. All of my personal projects have been relatively small 8-page projects, but now with Expiration Date, I feel so inspired to take on a large and significant project to really show and refine my talents.
